A fairy tale in One Act suitable for performance to young children. 8 characters usually playable by male or female cast performed with five actors doubling if necessary. Lots of audience interaction.
Iris, the Goddess of the Rainbow, has lost her rainbow and in order to perform a spell to recover it she has to find seven seemingly impossible things. She is befriended by a white kitten and together they travel the forest enlisting the help of Madame Isadora (a colour-blind witch), the Flower Lady, Fletcher the Fox, and the Indigo Fairy. They are thwarted by the evil Queen of the Night and the red-eyed Rat but Good wins through to a very happy ending.
(See 'THE ENCHANTED RING' for a possible double bill.)
